In June of 2019, the Dr. Deceptive album “Life Through A Fly’s Eyes” was released. A plunderphonics album with every song made using samples of other songs, the album was quite different from the other Dr. Deceptive albums. And since Dr. Deceptive very quickly became a very different type of project afterwards, there was never a true follow up to that album... until now.
“Mechanical Ballads” is another plunderphonics album that continues in the same vein as “Life Through A Fly’s Eyes” but under the moniker of Fly’s Eyes in order to differentiate it from what Dr. Deceptive is now. As with that album, Owen Radford doesn’t perform anything on here (other than on track 6), but instead has created these songs by messing around with samples of other songs. A complete list of all the samples used can be found below.
Much like its predecessor, this is a very unique, very interesting, very psychedelic project. And I hope you all enjoy it!

All tracks mixed, edited and messed around with by Owen Radford.

Most of these tracks are actually finished versions of older unfinished tracks that Owen Radford worked on over the past three years, with only tracks 1 and 7 being completely new. Tracks 2, 3, and 4 are were started in 2018, and tracks 5 and 6 were started in 2019, with all of them being finished in 2021.
